It is broadly utilized to selectively analyze bases and acids and, especially with reverse stage chromatography. An ion pair chemical is added to modulate holding of the ionic analytes. IPC (Ion Pair Chromatography) is a more applicable and general formulation that allows the separation of complicated combinations of ionic and polar molecules.
